This information was confirmed by the head of the company Epic Games - Tom Sweeney, telling reporters that users will have to download the application from the official website of Epic Games. The developers are sure that this will only benefit them, because the purpose of the site itself is to bring games directly to the consumer, and the competition will help to offer a lot of useful solutions. The second reason for this decision was money. Epic Games is not ready to pay Google Play 30% of the total revenue from purchases within the game. As the head of Epic Games said: "This is a high price in the world for 70% of developers who must cover all costs for the creation, support and development of their projects." It should be noted that the developers of the game Fortnite earned on the sale of in-game content is very big money, figures exceeding billions of dollars. Therefore, 30% become a very large figure, which the company does not want to share.
