Dirac Bass - hear what is beyond your smartphone
The Swedish company Dirac has introduced a new acoustic system that will allow compact low-power devices to reproduce low bass. These devices include: smartphones, portable speakers, tablets and the like. Developers call this technology "psychoacoustics". In modern gadgets do not install a good speaker system, they simply do not have enough physical space for it, and there is simply not enough space for speakers on frameless displays. There are instances that can reproduce sound at a frequency of about 30 Hz, but this is rare. Dirac Bass technology is able to reproduce sound at a frequency below 30 Hz from the speakers of a regular smartphone, the principle of operation is this: a psychoacoustic device is used, a combination of artificial overtones a few octaves higher, which mislead the mind. A full description of the technology Dirac Bass can be found after the official presentation at CES 2019 in January 2019. Not without restrictions, to use this platform requires support for platforms Dirac Panorama Sound or Dirac Power Sound. Dirac Power Sound is already on the OnePlus 6T, but the developers intend to implement their technology on newer smartphones.
