Meet Now - a new feature of Skype
In connection with the epidemic of coronavirus, most people around the world are forced to stay at home, and to always stay in touch with friends, family or work, you need a quality program for voice and video calls. There is probably no person who would not use Microsoft's Skype client, but the Zoom client has recently gained great popularity. And this is due to the fact that the Zoom team took care to greatly simplify the process of holding video conferences, regular calls and installing software. But there were some compromises in security and privacy. Zoom is already working on stability and solving problems with anonymity. But Skype did not "stand aside", but introduced a new functionality that can compete with competitors. The new feature is called "Meet Now" and it aims to work with video conferencing. So the organizer can create a conference and provide access to it in just 3 clicks.
The host computer does not even have to have a Skype client installed, the user will be able to start working directly from the service website and invite people using the link or the "share" button. If the invited user already has Skype installed, he can join through the client on a computer or smartphone, and if he does not have Skype installed, a web page with the service running in Chrome or Edge will open. Whether this function can attract the attention of new users - time will tell, but for now we will monitor further innovations for Skype.
