BARS - a new app for musicians from Facebook

A special unit NPE, which is engaged in research and development in the company's Facebook, we substitute an experimental application called BARS. The application will be available only for iOS for now and is intended for novice musicians. BARS will help those who do not have the funds for a professional music studio to record with studio musical effects and created beats, as well as provide an opportunity to share creativity on social networks.

The user can choose one of the offered beats, as well as write lyrics directly in the application, which will also help to automatically pick up words in rhyme. The BARS Library has a variety of audio and visual effects and support for automatic recording processing that will give any track its final shape. And if someone wants to test their musical skills, then there is a "Test" mode for this. In this mode, the user raps with automatically enabled prompts. In its structure, BARS is somewhat reminiscent of TikTok, although it is a specialized application, videos can only be no more than 60 seconds long, and the user interface is made in a vertical form with 2 tabs.Facebook BARS

At the end of 2020, the NPE team already released this kind of specialized application, it was called Collab. The app allowed users to remotely work on a single music video. One of the reasons that prompted developers to start developing these applications was the pandemic. So the developers were able to open access to expensive studios for aspiring musicians and resumed the "production" of aspiring talent.

At the moment, BARS will be available as a beta version for iOS, and the developers themselves were the first to publish their music tracks. The application is available in the App Store and each user can register, enter their unique name and wait for the official release of the application.
