Breaking boundaries: Bing chatbot breaks out of the old browser

A new round of Bing development

At the end of May, a representative of the Microsoft advertising department officially spoke about successful attempts to combine the Bing chatbot with browsers from other companies, including Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. Initially available to PC users only through the not-too-popular Edge web browser, Bing is pushing the boundaries of the past, rapidly increasing its audience, despite being currently limited by pre-test conditions.

According to Microsoft, in the coming weeks, access to the chatbot can be provided to everyone who wants to personally evaluate its capabilities. A full list of browsers ready to get a smart AI assistant has not yet been published, but if, after evaluating the current changes, the company decides that it's worth it, we are waiting for the era of the real heyday of Bing.

What has appeared?

Judging by the announced changes, Bing has not only expanded its influence on new platforms, but also received talents that make interaction with it more convenient and efficient.

Bing chatbot will appear in Chrome, Safari and Firefox

So, the chatbot will acquire several new personalities to communicate with interlocutors on their behalf; will be able to attach media files to the response, in addition to text messages; will launch movies on demand and perform other various tasks like booking a table in a restaurant without having to go to third-party sites.

Another interesting feature has become available - creating images according to user descriptions in a free neural network search engine.

In addition to the above, Microsoft developers have provided the ability to save the history of Bing and download the answers given to them in file format. The creators plan to further improve the chatbot using plugins.

What have you got rid of?

Learning new things, Bing does not forget to get rid of previous restrictions. As a minimum, we can expect an increase in the maximum session time, and possibly even a complete abolition of the limit.

Microsoft is confident that the increase in the availability of the chatbot and significant improvements will allow the company to make a breakthrough at the online search market and displace its undisputed leader, Google.
