The price of the sensational Apple Vision Pro glasses may be even higher

What is the price of Vision Pro?

Presumably, the new mixed reality glasses Vision Pro, introduced by Apple Inc. last week at the annual Worldwide Developers Conference for developers and having no analogues, will go on sale in early 2024. First in the USA, then in other countries. At the moment we are talking about the price of $3499. In European countries, the headset will be even more expensive.

Why can the cost of AR glasses actually be higher?

Despite the announced cost of Vision Pro, some experts suggest that the total cost will be higher, since special accessories will have to be bought in order to fully use AR glasses. And their cost will be approximately 15-20% of the price of a spatial gadget. However, this is also not all the upcoming costs.

Users who have vision problems will have to spend even more. The mixed reality headset is not suitable for people who wear glasses and regular lenses. According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, in this case, users will have to buy special Zeiss corrective lenses – they will be compatible with Vision Pro. Estimated cost of lenses will be $300-600. However, it is possible that Apple will set the price even higher.

The final cost of the device, most likely, will be clear after a few months.

What is the reason for such a price?

First of all, the cost of Apple Vision Pro is due to the uniqueness of AR glasses: there are no analogues in the world.

The development of the spatial gadget has become a real revolution in the world of technology, because it successfully combines digital content with the physical world. The headset uses VisionOC, which is the world's first spatial operating system, as it creates the effect of presence: everything happens in front of your eyes in real time.
