Apple will release a "smart" monitor for Mac

Details about the capabilities of the new "apple" monitor
The well-known insider from Bloomberg Mark Gurman shared details about the new product. The main feature of the model that Apple is preparing is to function even if the tethered Mac has gone to sleep mode. Namely, certain useful data will be displayed on the screen. For example, you can view the weather forecast, receive important notifications. But the most important and most interesting feature is the control of the smart home system, which the display can carry out almost autonomously, with an inactive PC.

There has already been a comparison of such functionality with StandBy technology. It is worth recalling that they promise to implement it in iOS 17. The corresponding announcement was made by the company in June 2023. In fact, we are talking about displaying a number of widgets, clocks, events and other data on the smartphone screen when the device is locked. A similar innovation is available in the iPhone 14 Pro version.
Technical aspects of implementing a display with innovative functionality
Mark Gurman even revealed the secret of how the "apple" corporation plans to implement an interesting idea. The insider claims that the curious solution will become the reality thanks to the use of the Apple A series chip. However, such a move is not at all original and fresh, since the A13 Bionic chip has already shown itself in Studio Display: in this case, it is entrusted with the role of sound and camera control.
Keeping the intrigue, the insider assures that these are not all the novelties from the corporation. Gurman says more monitors are on the way. But the specialist is limited to such an announcement, arguing that he does not know the details about the models being developed.
The analyst suggests that the American tech company wants to release the new 2019 generations of Studio Display and Pro Display XDR. However, this will not happen in the near future anyway. According to Gurman, most likely Apple will delight fans with new products in 2024, if not later.
