Mobile game Shaman King is undergoing beta testing before release
No sooner had the Japanese Studio Z announced the closure of the mobile game Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle in mid-June of this year, than the Chinese developers began to prepare for presentation to the public their version of the game based on the sensational anime about the adventures of the young shaman Yo Asakura, who was preparing to win the title of King at the Great Tournament. And by the end of December 2023, the project had reached the beta testing stage.

At the moment, Shaman King looks like a fairly casual game with simple rules:

  • Gameplay is a series of missions, for completing which the player receives from 1 to 3 stars.
  • Heroes will be divided into groups according to natural elements and rarity level, and the gamer’s task is to learn how to combine them in such a way as to combine the skills of individual characters to most effectively repel enemy attacks and their own coordinated assaults.
  • There are PvE and PvP battles in the Arena, and it all works in an automatic format. The player only needs to pump up the characters to the maximum before the battle, and then place them in certain places.
  • Apparently, an asynchronous battle mode will be available.
  • New heroes can be obtained through the gacha system.

The game features a distinctive anime style and familiar manga characters that will definitely delight fans.

The release is scheduled for January next year, but the test version can already be downloaded to a PC or Android device using Google Play in China. It is worth keeping in mind that after the end of the test period, all progress achieved will be canceled and the game will have to be started again.
