Futuristic action E.T.E Chronicle with improved gameplay is being rebooted for Japan
In 2022, the Chinese computer game developer BiliBili released the role-playing action game ETE Chronicle to Asian markets with a post-apocalyptic setting, where beautiful 3D waifu girls, controlling huge mecha robots, boldly rushed into battle with soldiers of the sinister scientific organization Igodra, trying to take over the world. The game did not make a big impression on gamers, and after a while, links to it in mobile stores stopped opening, so only owners of BiliBili accounts retained access to the futuristic world (only in the Chinese version).

However, 2024 changed the situation. As it turned out, the developers did not even think of abandoning the promising action game: they finalized it, changed the gameplay, introduced some additions and prepared it for release in Japan under the name E.T.E Chronicle: Re. Pre-registration for downloading the game on Android in Google Play and iOS in the App Store is open, the release date is scheduled for September 15.

Details of the updated gameplay have not been fully disclosed, it is only known that semi-turn-based battles were removed from the game, replacing them with real-time fights. From now on, gamers will directly control a platoon of four animated girls from their squad, dressed in mechanical suits, in order to use different skills and deprive opponents of life force.

Judging by the screenshots presented on the official website, the game has retained its excellent 3D visualization, and the movie-like animations that appear during the battle guarantee an even deeper immersion into the process. By the way, the first version promised gamers 16+ content, and although the "reboot" says nothing about it, everything is possible.

System requirements for E.T.E Chronicle:Re:

  • Android – 6.0 and higher with 4 GB of RAM;
  • iOS – from 12.

Apparently, the game will be distributed according to the free model, but it is unknown whether its worldwide release is planned, or the creators will limit themselves to Japan, as they have done so far – to China.
