Pre-loading for The Ragnarok mobile is now open
South Korean publisher Gravity Game Tech, which released the first game of the legendary Ragnarok Online back in 2002, announced that its mobile version is ready for release on the market and launched pre-loading of The Ragnarok on smartphones in Southeast Asia. The game can be downloaded on Android and iOS through the pages of the corresponding mobile stores, and on PCs – through Google Play Games. The servers will be opened on the last day of October.
While the developer claims that Gravity Game Tech's primary goal was to bring the original Ragnarok Online experience to mobile devices as completely as possible, it is known that numerous changes have been made to the interface, graphics, and content. In particular, the team of 100 specialists has significantly updated the background, created new 3D models (although The Ragnarok focuses on 2D graphics), and optimized the classic game mechanics to adapt to smartphone controls.
Players will still be able to:
There will also be support for autoplay, paid VIP levels with bonuses, and the quality of life of characters will be improved through trading systems. Overall, it looks like an attempt to preserve the basics of the original version, while bringing in fresh gameplay details and raising high expectations among fans. Players in the Asian region have already pushed the project to the first place in the Philippines App Store for adventures.
Going forward, the publisher plans weekly events and content updates.
