Stealth-horror game Death Antique launches globally on iOS and Android
Developed by the solo creator SleepingMuseum, the mobile stealth-horror game Death Antique, is now available on iOS and Android. The title offers a unique blend of a dark story, stealth gameplay, item collection, and mini-games, featuring a novice Grim Reaper facing a rather unpleasant problem.

The protagonist has lost her scythe — an essential tool for carrying out her duties as a reaper. Without it, she cannot properly perform her job, leaving players to uncover the situation and track down the missing weapon. However, the search quickly turns into a perilous adventure as eerie creatures begin appearing throughout the environment, forcing players to stay out of sight and hide from them.

Exploration forms the core of the gameplay. Players move through various locations, search for useful items, and keep a close watch on enemies. Notably, Death Antique does not rely on constant jump scares to create tension. Instead, the developer positions the title as a horror game suitable even for those who typically avoid the genre out of fear.

Helping to lighten the mood is a fluffy companion appropriately named Fluffy. During quieter moments, the protagonist can pet the dog — offering a welcome break after particularly frightening encounters.

The game also features a distinct system tied to nighttime. Each night, the protagonist meets various visitors and can challenge them to four different card games. Winning these games allows players to upgrade Fluffy, making the mini-games not just a diversion between horror sequences, but an integral part of game progression.

Death Antique utilizes a vertical screen orientation, making it designed for one-handed play. This format is particularly well-suited for short gaming sessions on a smartphone, even though the simple control scheme still support proper location exploration and stealth mechanics.
